"You can learn to be an improver, and learn the rules of it, but the really great ones like Colin and Ryan have something innate." -Drew Carey |
"Not a talk show, not a sitcom, not a game show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" is a completely unique concept to network television. Four talented actors perform completely unrehearsed skits and games infront of a studio audience. Host Drew Carey sets the scene, with contributions from the audience, but the actors rely completely on their quick wit and improvisational skills. It's genuinely improvised, so anything can happen." |
Okay that was the BS explination of the show. "Whose Line?" is an improvised show that started out in England as a radio program. It came to TV with Clive still as the host. I thought it was cool. There were british players and american players mixing, mingling and making fun of each other. They played games...it made us laugh. And now many years later the show is still on. True it is in america and no Clive or Tony but Whose Line? has managed to live on. Drew does a good job and hopefully the next generation will have some sort of WL to watch. |
