All the buildings are now completed. There are 17 buildings in this small area that represents the 'Burgh.
More work is being done on the USS National Tube Works in McKeesport. The background of the mill area has been completed.
The Mon Warf was built and painted, the bridge crane is partially completed, and the ground cover around the blast furnace
and coke ovens is done. See photos below of the progress so far.

This is an overview of the mill area.

This view shows the Mon Warf where barges dock to be unloaded.

There are alot of tracks going in all directions around the blast furnace side of the mill site.

This is a front view of the blast furnace with the city of Pittsburgh seen in the background.

This is a model of the McKeesport Connecting RR Alco S-2. This was my summer painting project. My grandfather used to
work for this short line that serviced the mills in the Mon-Yough area.

A five-unit Chessie mixed freight heads eastbound as it passes under the Duquesne-McKeesport bridge which borders the
USS National Tube Works.
Overview of the layout
These photos show an overview of the layout. The facia board was just added this weekend and needs to be painted green.
There will be a track diagram, geographical information, milepost locations, and other information on the facia board.

Track alignment chart of the mainline. Click on the diagram for a more detailed view. (please note size: 301Kb)
The minimum radius is 30" with #6 switches for cross-overs and #4's for diverging tracks. The maximum grade is 2.4%. The
159 foot (2.6 scale-miles) mainline has two tracks and there are two passing tracks at Hyndman (yard lead) and
Youghiogheny Blocks (P&LE Yough Branch).

Dimentions of the room and the outline of the layout to give a sense of the size of the layout.

be included in my layout.
