We are a home educating, unschooling family, living in the north East of England. We believe that children should decide for themselves which path to take for their own education.We are not anti-school, but we are pro-unschooling for those who wish to follow this path, and we believe that it should be common knowledge that home schooling is legal and acceptable in this country.

The Unschooling network in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear is growing, activities now include:
Crafts sessions for all ages,(younger and older) both separately and together, Science Without a Lab sessions for older kids, and also tutoring in maths, French, Violin and Viola.
We are starting a Nature Group for families, and will be also having a day of orienteering and map reading for the older kids. Near future events include day at Thornley Woodland centre which has bird hide and there are many species of birds and also rare Red Squirrels in the wild.
