You enter a quiet forest, filled with tall red woods reaching for the sky, gentle sunlight filtering through the thick branches far above you. You see a sudden movement out of the corner of your eye and turn, but nothing is there. Pondering this you continue on, enjoying the warm cozyness of the wood.
After a time you hear the rushing of water ahead and quicken your pace, breaking through the trees to find a sparkling water fall spilling into a crystal pool of water. A cave is situated against the mountain face which houses the waterfall and you can see eyes glimmering out at you. You stare back at them. Slowly, a creature emerges into the sunlight, a stunning white animal that looks like a cross between a unicorn and a wolf. A red cape is tied about it's neck and its eyes and mouth are rimmed with the same bloody color. "Chosen one," it greets you, leaping down to land easily before you, "you have come upon the forest of the Fosco. I am Black Rose."

Another pair of eyes peers out of the cave at you curiously and then is joined by a jet black body as the Fosco leaps out of the hole in the mountain wall and into the air, gliding down to join Black Rose. "And I am Hessian," he says in a silky voice, sitting back on his haunches and flexing his bat-like wings. "We are not yet a herd," he explains,"for we have not enough Fosco nor a leader. But we hope to become a herd one day."
