A little about myself: by Linda KC5YYP
My page will consist of some of my personal interest as well as Amateur Radio.
I was born in San Antonio, Texas, but lived most of my adolescent years in Lakehills, Texas. Lakehills is a small town in southeastern Bandera County on Medina Lake. I graduated from Bandera High School. I met and married Larry (W5LJM) in 1982. We have four children together. They are Sam, Cory, Erin And Audra. And we now have three grand children. They are Colsten, Dylan and Brianna.
My interest include, but not limited to, softball, fishing, dart leagues, camping and other outdoor activities. If it keeps me active, I'll do it. The only "hobby" that I might list is Amateur Radio. I received my Technician license as KC5YYP in February of 1997. My interests in ham radio are not that great, but I will participate in events if needed. I have helped out in Emergency assistance, swapfest and various special events.
I have never worked HF, mainly 2 meter FM voice. I have no incentive to upgrade at this time. I enjoy FM voice, with it's crisp, clean audio. It is perfect for my needs.
