Mizuno Ami/Sailor Mercury
	Mizuno Ami has always been known as a fairly quiet girl.  Though she has been said to have a  genius level intelligence, she has always remained very humble.  Unfortunately, this has given her somewhat of a reputation as a loner.  All that she ever wanted, though, was a friend.       Ami's mother is a respected doctor in Tokyo, able to heal any physical wounds, so all Ami has needed to worry about are the many psychological wounds that have been inflicted upon her by the circumstances of her childhood.  Ami's artist father divorced her mother when she was young, forcing her to grow up largely on her own, since her mother's career left her too busy to serve as a full-time mother, let alone replace a father.       Under these circumstances, it was only natural for her to become buried in her studies.  Although she initially comes off as very bookish, she is generally the most kind-hearted and understanding of the Senshi.  This calm and tenderness is shown in her planet's elements, water and ice.
