TEARS of LOVE

Tears are running down my cheek
I long for the words you used to speak
I need to let go, but that's hard to do
You see, I can't stop loving you.
I try to put you out of my mind
But another love like ours, I'll never find.
I gaze upon the stars in the sky
I pray to God and wonder why?
Why did He bring you into my life?
Why did He give me hope to believe?
Why did He take your love away?
Why does He let me go on day after day?
I know there's a reason this all came about
Maybe He's testing my faith for doubt.
My heart feels so empty, I feel all alone
This life, I need to share with someone
It's hard to accept you're with me no more
I'm hoping He'll help me close over the door.
Maybe someday I'll wake up and I'll smile
Maybe my true love is past the next mile.
