SHADOWS

Shadows lurking in the dark

Shadows, like memories, keep coming back

Shadows of friends who have come and gone

Shadows of the love you once felt for someone

Shadows in the dark can be scary to me

I never know who that shadow may be

But not all shadows are gloomy and dour

And shadows can appear at any hour

Sometimes the shadow you keep pushing away

May be a shadow destined to stay

Maybe that shadow's been just biding time

Maybe that shadow will say "Please be mine"

So shadows that lurk are not always bad

Finding the right shadow can make one glad

Open your heart and let in the light

Lets keep those shadows out of the night

Shadows dont need to lurk in the dark

There's a shadow out there with the voice of a lark

There's a shadow out there who is solid and real

There's a shadow somewhere to again make your heart feel.
