Emotions tugging at the heart
Emotions can tear the heart apart
So many think love is just a game
But it can hurt and that's a shame
When we get hurt because of this game
We often think that we are to blame
We often say - if we did this-
If I was there for just one kiss-
We all deserve to laugh and to love
From all the rest we should be placed above.
We look and we look, we need to go on
Somewhere out there is our special someone
So if the emotions tug at your heart
Make sure you have friendship right from the start
A friend and a lover can both be the same
A friend and a lover can both share a name
A friend will be with you, no matter what
A friend doesnt care what you have or have not
A friend can become a lover you see
But a lover must also be a friend to me.
