this is the first afghan i made. it's also the most complicated one i've made. i think it took the longest to make too. but it's pretty. i like the diagonals and all the pretty yarns. ^_^ |
i call this one a 'waltz' afghan, because it follows a waltz tempo. the two row bars (the thick ones) represent the accented beat - the 'one'. and the singe rows (the two thin ones) represent the un accented beats - the 'two, three'. |

there's nothing particularly interesting about this one. the reason it's four colors is that i ran out of yarn and couldn't find the same color at the store. |
this is my favourite of the afghans i've made so far. it's based on the log cabin quilt design. i tried it first at the block level - each square as a quilt block - but that didn't work. so, i made one big quilt block. ^_^ i really like the color yarn too. |
