this is the first afghan i made. it's also the most complicated one i've made. i think it took the longest to make too. but it's pretty. i like the diagonals and all the pretty yarns. ^_^

i call this one a 'waltz' afghan, because it follows a waltz tempo. the two row bars (the thick ones) represent the accented beat - the 'one'. and the singe rows (the two thin ones) represent the un accented beats - the 'two, three'.

there's nothing particularly interesting about this one. the reason it's four colors is that i ran out of yarn and couldn't find the same color at the store.

this is my favourite of the afghans i've made so far. it's based on the log cabin quilt design. i tried it first at the block level - each square as a quilt block - but that didn't work. so, i made one big quilt block. ^_^ i really like the color yarn too.
