My friend and I performed in our club holiday recital. Both of us are rather shy and neither of us have performed like this before, so we were pretty nervious. My father taped it, so I was able to get some images of it. We did the Canasta Tango (hence the black and red, even though black is a traditional ice dance color), which was the only ice dance number in the whole three hour performance. The person who did the line up, who happenes to be an ice dancer too, put us at the very end. He said that he wanted some people who were actually skating to holiday music to skate at the end (where they usually put the older kids, who don't usually skate to holiday music). It was just a bit nervewracking.

tango attitude!

This was our opening pose, the only time we had decent tango-y expression. Our coach remarked that she liked it (neither of us are very expressive skaters). ^_^

And this was some random moment I captured. There are a lot of places in the dance that look like this.

oh yeah, look at all that expression
