there's a new entry up. short, but still a new entry.

i'm off to ohio first thing tomorrow morning, so i may not be blogging until monday.

why do the last few days before something you have been looking forward to always seem to be the longest?

i am soooooooo excited to go away this weekend. the past two weeks flew by. but these last two days are going soooooo slooow.

i am paranoid. i keep thinking that something bad will happen and that i won't be able to go (bad weather, sensei getting sick, me getting sick, etc). last night i had a bad dream. (now if you've been reading my japan travels diary, you know that bad dreams before a trip are nothing unusual for me. but still, they're nervewrecking and they suck!). i won't bore you with nit-picky details, but basically the grayhound (hello?! i'm driving!) i was supposed to take altered its schedule due to a classist "bus attendant" (kind of like a flight attendant, but for the grayhound. note to those of you who have never been on a grayhound: there are no "bus attendants.") who didn't want to drive through central ohio because she'd rather go to wealthy LA. anyway, so my bus was cancelled. i was screaming at the attendant and everyone in my path. there was no way to get to ohio...

now, i would never ever take a grayhound to get to an important event. grayhound is perhaps the most unreliable bus company on this planet. i think that the long distance busses in rural south america and southeast asia have better on-time records (and probably better mechanical records as well!). once kristin was supposed to come home from iowa for the weekend. she opted for grayhound (not really realizing how bad they suck). i think that the bus was something like 12 hours late. and it broke down in a cornfield in eastern iowa. the moral: grayhounds suck. do not take them. well, not if you actually want to get to your destination.

tokyo needs to ease its international airport congestion. maybe haneda will relieve some conjestion. or maybe they'll figure out a way to give narita a new runway...

that's the springfield-area for ya!

a new entry is up.

yuck. my feet stink...

ok, blogger is working again.

phew. last night it ate up all of my posts.

let's see... i added a new entry to my journal. and guess what?! thanks to an awesome dane (can't wait to go to denmark!) named lasse, my graphics problem over at diaryland is solved. :-)

if geocities sucks and won't allow its graphics to be loaded onto another server, no biggie....i can change servers.

oh! this weekend i'm going to ohio for women's voices outloud in yellow springs! i'm staying with sensei!!! i am sooooo stoked!

ohhhhhh ohhh ohhhhh!!! i'm soooooo excited!

from the daemon newsletter:

"PRE-ORDERS
Most of the pre-orders have gone out with the rest on the way in the next
day. Watch your mailbox! We hope that most of you will receive these
before the March 6th release date. It’s in the hands of the US Postal
Service now."

ohhhhhhhh! i hope to have it in time for my roadtrip!
