EXISTENCE

You know of me.
You have never noticed me
But I have always been there.

I walk between worlds.
I'm odd in that respect.
I look for my place in worlds I will never belong to.

I seek company yet prefer solitude.
I offer help yet do nothing.
I ask for aid yet refuse when it's offered.

I exist yet am not noticed.
I seek others yet do not acknowledge them.
I crave contact yet never reach out.

You know me.
I've always been there.
I am just, forever, alone.
JOINING HEARTS AND SOULS

As the days come and go
I find myself thinking of you
Wishing I could be there
To hold you in my arms

My heart belongs to you
I give it to you willingly
You have touched my very soul
And I will love you always

I have shown you my heart
Open and filled with love for you
You showed me your heart
And I saw a reflection of my own

We share our hearts together
And join our souls once more
And wait for the shining day
When we shall part no more

BEAUTY

How does one find true beauty?
Where should one look for the rarest treasure?
Is to be found in jewels
Or is it in works of art?

Is it found in precious metals?
Can you find it in a person's appearance?
I say to you now that you are wrong
If you only look at the surface of things.

The real beauty lies not without
It lies not in rare jewels or art
The place to find the beauty that never fades
Is to look within thine own heart
(fair warning...this one is rather bleak. It was written at a very depressing time in my life)

PURPOSE

Life is a fantasy.
Meaning is a myth
Created to give the fantasy
The illusion of being real.

The days go by
Without purpose.
There is no point in trying
Because everything is pointless.

Life goes on
But only the end has meaning.
The end of everything
Is what matters.

To do anything means nothing.
All is an illusion.
Because in the end,
Darkness claims all.
