A Sailor's Goodbye
Ruff waters start to settle
dusk is on the ocean's edge
Sailors adorn their shiney metals.

Loved Ones filled with tears
Embraces abundant
Brave men try to ease their fears.

Setting out for their duty tour
A long time to return
Leaving to even a score.

Holding each other tight
Awaiting the final call
To venture out of sight.

One last hug, then a kiss
It's time to leave
Simple things will be missed.

Heavy hearts board ship
Standing on deck
Hands bent to thier hat's tip.

The home to many
For an unknown time
Begins to leave the land of pleanty.

Families stay long into the night
To watch our freedom ship
disappear out of sight.

In a long and bitter fight
They will risk their lives
To protect our freedom's rights.
