Anonymous. Spring-Heeled Jack. The Terror of London. This serial appeared in The Boy's Standard in six installments from No. 219, Saturday, July 18, 1885 to No. 224, August 22, 1885. Charles Fox was about to re-issues the longer version of this story in 48 parts, and this shorter story probably served as a teaser or advertisement.

Anonymous. The Whitechapel Murders. London: Purkess, 1888. This short item is one that seems to have escaped the notice of Penny Dreadful collectors till just a few years ago, although Ripperologists knew about it. It has to be one of the rarest and most valuable penny dreadfuls. It was reprinted a few years ago in facsimile, and it is from the reprint that this text was scanned.

Rymer, James Malcolm. Varney the Vampyre. Humphrey Lui has accomplished the truly Herculean task of typing up all of Varney, over 800 pages. There's also a short introduction by Michael Holmes.

Rymer, James Malcolm. Vileroy; or, The Horrors of Zindorf Castle. This gothic romance was attributed to Elizabeth Caroline Grey (by Montague Summers) and Thomas Peckett Prest (by Medcraft), but Helen Smith has established that it was really the work of Rymer. It was published by Edward Lloyd in 52 parts.
