More than meets the eye.... (wink,wink)
Suggestive Scenes
The Women of the Golden Age Comic were seductive and it was implied that
they often asked for what they got. There were also a lot more implied
in some of the images than the innocent would notice... or would they?
Some of the examples below include the focus of the gun on the breasts,
Will Eisner giving new meaning to double breasted suit (note the button
positioning). Several other captions could read where is that rope going,
what are you looking at and what trick are you talking about. and could
that parachute be any tighter? The second last picture implies that the
women are asking for the violence that occurs to them.
Give the Golden Age
a Hand
My favorite suggestive themes is the classic, watch where you put that
hand. The pictures are innocent enough but there is no doubt that the intent
is purposeful. Lets give those artists a hand.
