My rating for Jessica as Quin Mo Chiu Kwan: 9.75 out of 10
Ohmigod, I just love Jessica! She’s my favourite actress! She’s so pretty, talented, poised and everything! Okay, you don’t have to run screaming “NOT AGAIN!!”
All rubbish aside, I first compared Jessica with Margaret Chung. Margaret Chung was cute and perky. Jessica was mature. And then, I compared Jessica-Louis with Margaret-Joey. A tie. I just love seeing both couples together. Okay, back to the issue of Jess as Quin. Her character left the deepest impression in me. Her character made me cry the most. Quin was a strong, professional career woman on the outside, while on the inside, she’s just an ordinary woman who loves Fei very, very much. Quin was a most unfortunate woman. She thought that she had found someone who truly loves her, but, whaddaya know, the guy went running back to his old girlfriend because she got her leg busted because of him. In my opinion, Jessica has the hardest acting job here. A real toughie. But like the professional she is, Jessica did a fantastic job. Seeing her act, I can really FEEL the pain and the hurt. Wow, when an actress made you feel what she was supposed to feel, she’s one heck of an actress. One couldn’t help feeling sad for the tragic Quin. Jessica tackled this hard role with maturity and all the right essence and expressions. I take my hat off to Jessica Hsuan Hester. And I am not being biased. (How many times had I said this!?!?!)
(Hey, true critics don’t give 10’s.)
