IN MEMORY OF
"Weldor"
John Thomas Naron, Sr.
August 7, 1937 ~ December 4, 1999
Everyone who knew "Weldor" liked him and his wonderful
sense of humor.
He loved talking to people and was a great storyteller
of all the things he had done in his lifetime.
Construction and welding were his occupations for most
of his working years along with ranching.
He even broke and trained his own horses at times.
He was in the Texas National Guard, 36th Division and the
U.S. Army, Third Armored Division.
John was also a long haul truck driver, a high-lineman,
and a heavy equipment operator.
After he had to retire he lived with his wife, on the
family ranch in Coleman County, Texas. He enjoyed his
church, visiting with his family and friends, and
chatting on his computer.
They had four children, and he loved telling us about
them and the eleven grandchildren.
He was so proud of them all.
Weldor said: "During my life I've lived all over Texas
and many other places but I have come to know...
..I am truly a Texan."
Close friends knew that "Weldor" typed to them from
a hospital bed in his bedroom at the ranch. He was
connected to equipment to help him breath for the
last 6 years of his life. He used both oxygen and
a C Pap machine that forced air into his lungs for
breathing. He never complained, was always happy
and chatting with everyone he met on line.
A devout Christian, he knew his Bible well and
on occasion had preached sermons in his
little Baptist Church.
He liked to help people with their graphics for
chat, and also loved music, posting favorite
tunes in the chatroom for friends.
"Weldor" passed away at the Veteran's Hospital
on December 4, 1999 at age 62. His body rests
on the ranch in the family cemetery
in Coleman County, Texas.
The music playing was John's favorite:
