Patrick Roy's Web Assignment #2

"Who do you say that I am?" How do you respond to Jesus question asked of his Apostles? It is the question every person who meets Jesus must confront. Write an answer to this. Include one picture, the "best" picture, of Jesus you can offer.

WHO IS JESUS??

Jesus asked this question to his disciples around two thousand years ago, but this is a question that is still asked today if you intend to follow and become a disciple of Jesus. But, no answer is either incorrect or correct itself. The question Jesus asked is asking us how we see Jesus personally. The typical answer is that Jesus was the Son of God over two thousand years ago sent to Earth to save us from our sins and bring us to everlasting life. He was thought to be the Messiah. I truly believe that Jesus was and is the Son of God and the Messiah but I also feel, like Peter, that I do not fully and truly understand who Jesus is. To completely understand Jesus and why he is the Messiah, we need to clearly understand his teachings and his ways first. We cannot fully understand Jesus without understanding his messages and why he was sent to save us.

Life of Jesus

This picture shows God giving his son, Jesus, to the world to save us from our sins. I chose this picture because it portrays Jesus as holding out his hands to anyone who needs help. Jesus was a man who gave his all for anyone. He cured the sick, helped the poor and forgave sinners when they asked for forgiveness. Jesus experienced these kinds of people in everyday situations like we do today and he reached out and gave them a helping hand. 1
