Superior Técnico of the Technical University of Lisbon
in 1988, with the final classification of "Good", and the member Nr. 22989 of
the Engineering Portuguese Association since
1989
My professional career as always been linked to
the port sector since, still as a
senior pupil, I started to work in the consultant enterprise Hidrotécnica Portuguesa were
I stayed almost 1 year until I performed my Military Duty
After my Military Duty I joined the Port of Sines Authority in 1990 were I worked in the
Studies and Planning Office until the year 1993
By detachment from that Port Authority, I
collaborated during 1993/94 at the Committee for Port Appraisal and Management and, in the
period of 1994/99 , in the Technical Support Structure for the Manager and Management
Committee of the Measure "Economic Improvement of the Ports" of the Sub-Program
"Transports" of the Communitarian Aids Table 1994/99 and for the Ports Sectorial
Interlocutor for the Cohesion Fund, as well as I collaborated with the Portuguese Association of Port Authorities
Between 1999 and 2003 I worked as a
technician at the ex-Maritime and Port Institute, nowadays named Institute for Ports and Shipping, were I was the Head of
Program and International Affairs Department from 2003 to 2007 and I´m presently the Head
of Planning and Management Control Department.
