An Open Invitation
Welcome to A Moveable Feast!

The concept is of an online fantasy dinner party to which you are my invited guest. While often held at one of my online digs there are planned the occasional picnic and pub-crawl. How does Karl Marx’s birthday sound? These will be subtitled Eat at Joe’s. Well maybe not the pub-crawls! Most versions at this address will have their own opening page (after all it is still polite to knock first before entering) and for those I would love to have a flashing, sputtering neon sign like one of the greasy-spoon diners I love so much. (My sole weakness.)
Many of the affairs are themed to match a season or holiday, sometimes just to my mood! My idea is to invite a few people who will contribute recipes and maybe a picture of their offerings and dinner chat will consist of stories, rants, and other items they submit.
At first I will limit this to just a close circle of friends of mine but once the training wheels come off I plan to open this to everyone. Though the first “meals” shall be my work I hope to get submissions from you and others. Recipes with jpegs of the offering, potluck style, or short stories and commentary in the place of over dinner chat. Don’t be afraid to talk about social issues or politics. I fully intend to talk about the year and a half I was homeless. But I will insist very firmly on politeness and courtesy; remember you are a guest! Maybe a ghostly telling for around the wicker man, I mean – bonfire on Halloween. I shall of course post upcoming theme changes and an e-mail address that can accept attachments for those wishing to send me suggestions or items for possible inclusion in upcoming themes. So if you can bear with me and the occasional pun (my sole weakness...) return. The first will be a Sunday brunch at my place. Well my fantasy online place so to speak! It will be a solo effort just to give everyone the idea of what I intend.
Please visit often and bring a friend or several. Enemies too, Gods know they could use it! If they are busy just give them the address here – they will always be welcome!

                   Hoping to see you soon!
