Christian Slater
Birth name:
- Christian Michael Leonard Hawkins
Sometimes credited as:
- Chris Slater
Date of birth: August 18, 1969
Place of birth: New York, USA
Bio and martial arts background

Christian is born in an acting family. His father, Michael Hawkins was already an actor, and his mother, Mary Jo Slater was a casting director, who gave Chris a roles on 4 occasions.

As a child, Chris attended Dalton School and the Professional Children's School. Very soon already, he started to act and got his first role in a theater play called 'The Music Man' when he was 9 years old.

Chris also has been a hardcore Star Trek fan, who even dressed like Mr. Spock. In 1991, a dream came true when Chris had a role in Star Trek 6. Chris was already a big name who appeared with the greatest actors, three times with the uncanny Gary Oldman, and portrayed Arkansas Dave Rudabaugh in Young Guns 2. He worked in almost every genre, from drama to action and horror to comedy.

Chris, known for his hot tempers, didn't do many fight movies, but he is a skilled martial artist with a green belt in Kempo Karate. A rare moment of him throwing some kicks is in Uwe Boll's underrated Alone in the Dark, where Chris is an agent with special powers.
