Bio and martial arts background Master Rhee is a world renowned 10th Degree Black Belt and known as the 'father of Tae Kwon Do'. He has over 60 studios and 65 outside the US in the C.I.S. (former Sovjet Union). Jhoon is now a popular instructor. He taught martial arts to celebrities such as Muhammed Ali, Tony Robbins, Jack Velenti and Jack Anderson. Alse outside the world of Tae Kwon Do, Jhoon is a famous man of importance. He was appointed by President George H. W. Bush as Special Advisor to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports from 1988-1991. Jhoon also recieved the NAPMA's Life Time Achievement Award in 1999 and did many, many more good thing and eventually in 2000 he became the only Korean-American who made one of 203 most recognized American immigrants by the National Immigrant Forum and the U.S. I.N.S. That list included people like Albert Einstein and Alexander Graham Bell. Jhoon Rhee is a man respected by Presidents, World Champions and politicians. |
