Russ started his training in Shotokan Karate at the age of 12, inspired by his uncles who were boxing champs and of course: Bruce Lee. When he was 15, he'd train in Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Kenpo and Hapkido. Russ now has a 3rd degree black belt in Shotokan. One of his achievements is becoming British European Karate Champion.
After his first acting part in The Bill, Russ would move on to make movies with the likes of Jet Li, Jackie Chan and Jean Claude van Damme as an actor, stuntman and stuntdouble in the final fight against Jet Li in Black Mask.
Russ mainly does movies in Europe, and one of which in Holland, but is working on achieving his goals; organizing film festivals, work in international recognized movies and starring with one of his idols; Gary Daniels. Russ now also works as a certified personal trainer and lifeguard.
