Bio and martial arts background Frank Dux is the man whose fame started at the same time as Van Damme's after Bloodsport. Van Damme as an actor, but Frank Dux because it was his life. Frank is a great martial artist and fighter, skilled in 22 arts who got his fame as a fighter in an underground tournament. The film Bloodsport is the best description of Dux fighting and winning the tournament. His credit list is also impressive with numerous knockouts and the fastest one. Frank was the 1975-80 World Heavyweight Kumite Champion and holds 16 world strength and speed records. Some are the fastest KO ever (3,2 seconds), and the most consecutive KO's (56) Frank is inducted in the Hall of Fame. Frank became friends with Van Damme and together they'd work on a movie carreer as actors, coordinators and movie makers. Unfortunately that friendship ended, but Frank is a legend himself and will be remembered that way. Frank remains a popular trainer and instructor in Dux Ryu, the first American Ninjitsu system, which he founded. |
