Bio and martial arts background Ron van Clief has been studying martial arts now for over 40 years. He holds a black belt in Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Aiki-Jitsu, Kung Fu and Armis de Mano. Ron also masters the sword, nunchakus and many more weapons. Ron is also a 5th degree red belt and founder of the Chinese Goju system. He established over 25 schools in over 18 countries. Shidoshi Van Clief brings his knowledge to others as an instructor and to the world of competition in over 900 tournaments. He retired as an 8 Time US Champion and 5 Time World Champion. Ron is also inducted in the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame and received the Lifetime Achievement Awards in 1995. Ron appeared and still appears in several movies, mostly action and martial arts movies. Some acting parts, but Ron also performed some stunts. Ron worked in the legendary Last Dragon as a coordinator.
