| Originally broadcast as a U.S. TV miniseries, this series has been released twice. First in 1996 as a 4 part video tape series and now in 2002 as a single (178 min) video. This series fills in the gaps left from the original 1983 Thorn Birds miniseries. During World War II, Father Ralph de Bricassart (Richard Chamberlain) is sent from back to Australia. There he reunites with Meggie (Amanda Donohoe) while she fights for custody of her son. A solid role for Amanda Donohoe and an interesting (if melodramatic at times) miniseries. |
