It was great when it all began...
I was born John Norman Slayers on January 28, 1972, in Colorado Springs Colorado. My mother (Norma) and my father (Bill) divorced about 4 months before my illustrious birth, so I never actually met the man. My mom married my stepfather Don Berndt in 1974. I have 3 brothers, Brett Hammock, James Slayers and Ray Salyers. I have yet to meet James and Ray, for they went with our father after the divorce. someday maybe. I grew up in the springs and really like it here.
I started doing theater when I was 12 and haven't stopped since. I currently do around 7 shows a year. Keeps me busy. I act, but make most of my money working as a theatrical makeup artist.

I've been living with my friend Beth for about 5 years. It's gotten to the point where we can finish each others sentences. Very scary. I love it though.
