| Johnson finishish 9th Busch North Series |
| Mike Wins Toyota Showdown! Qualifing on friday nite turned out to be a little disappointing for the Johnson Lumber Ford, things weren't going very well. The car was loose and not responding very well. But the crew worked very hard and whipped it into shape! Mike started 12th row, outside and had his work cut out for him. The car was running very well, he moved through the field, with out any problems. At the 100 lap stop, Mike had gone from twenty-fourth to eight! It was a great run. The car was fast and all we need was a little break. And we got one! At the redraw, Eight was the luckey number. Mike was on the pole. For the next 50 laps, it was mayhem behind Mike, but on every restart, and there were many, Mike clearly pulled out and took a decisive lead. I thank god he was in the front! I don't think anyone came through with out damage! But If all had survived, I still don't think anyone could have caught Mike, the car was awesome. He would have got a challenge or two, but the car was smoking! It was a Great Win for Mike and the Johnson Lumber Ford, hats off to the crew, who have worked very hard to make this season a success. It takes a great amount of time and effort to make a team, countless days and hours of unpaid work, by guys that just love racing! What a great way to end this season.
