My Red Sox Collection

John Valentin

Like O'Leary, John is a great player who without many great players at his position (for example: Cal Ripken will probably start at third for as long as he is playing.), would be a certain All-Star. He has a lifetime average of almost .290 and plays wherever he is needed. Val was the Sox' shortstop until Nomar came along, then he moved to second. When Tim Naehring got hurt, John moved to third base.
