Pedro Martinez...of the Boston Red Sox is one of the best young pitchers in baseball today if not the best pitcher of any age. The winner of the 1997 NL Cy Young award with the Montreal Expos, he posted an ERA of 1.90 and was the runner-up for AL honors in 1998, Pedro also started the 1999 All-Star Game at his home park and took home MVP honors.

I was at the game where he struck out a career-high 16 Braves and won by a score of 5-1. During a post-game interview next to the Fenway Park dugout, the fan's cheers were so loud that, had I not been watching the video board, I would never known that he was talking. |
Pedro's career stats are very impressive.
