This is Mary, punk rock ska rudegirl from Jersey. She has plenty of bad homemade tattoos that she's dying to get covered, particularly a checkerboard band around her ankle she wants me to do, 'cause I've done work for Moon Records & High Times, so she thinks she's getting an authentic Jamaican ska tattoo. I thought we would be doing comic book characters, but when she came for her appointment, she pulled out this piece: M.C. Esher's 'Three Worlds',... I was impressed by her judgment, & also by the fact that I nailed it so hard, all in gray steps, no real black, & no outlines. The photo is a bit shiny, but you can at least see the side by side comparison that I would make the old boy proud.
