Bio and martial arts background Born in Bahia Brazil. There he trainen and gained skills in Afro-Brazilian danceing, Capoeira, condomble, samba and maculele. This since he was 7 years old. When he was 16 years old he already travelled through the whole country for giving workshops and demos. In 1989 Amen relocated in Los Angeles and founded the longest standing Capoeira academy. Amen preserves the meaning and being of Capoeira by training whole generations of Capoeiristas in the whole world. Amen is also asked for acting and choreographing in movies, as can be seen in Kickboxer 4 and Only the Strong for which he trained with Mark Dacascos.
