Bio and martial arts background

As a kid, Bas Rutten was asthmatic and some people always picked on him. Dreamin to be a hero like Spider-man Bas spent his time climbing trees and watching stars.

At the age of 12, Bas would discover his athletic skills. After quitting athletics due to knee injuries, Bas would watch Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. This is when his new passion woke up: Martial arts. He started in Tae Kwon Do and soon broke the nose of one bully who was always after him.

After leaving his parental house at the age of 20 he would train even more intensive in Tae Kwon Do and Karate. Bas even formed a martial arts training group with friends: "The Champions". Bas ended up training in Thai boxing and got a job as a bouncer.

Later Bas would compete in many tough contests such as Pancrase and UFC and won many, many titles.

Bas is now working on his movie carreer and with success. He appeared in the coolest of series; Martial Law, and now appeared in several cool movies.

Bas is also a skilled choreographer and good with motorcycles and water skiing.
