Bio and martial arts background Master Daniel Pesina has been training since 1972, and started his formal training under Mastre Guo in 1989, studying both internal and external Wushu. Nationally and internationally Dan has won many titles on the NASKA, AAU and USA Kung Fu/Wushu circuits. Besides being a great martial artist and teacher who ears the name "Shifu" Dan can also be admired as co-creater for the Mortal Kombat games in which he had several roles. His brother, Carlos Pesina worked with him. Shifu Daniel is now a teacher at the Chicago Wushuguan School. His younger brother, Carlos Pesina, is also a great martial artist, skilled in many forms of Kung Fu. He has over 20 years of experience and is most recently specializing in Bagua. That style can be seen in Mortal Kombat 5. Carlos has been attached to Mortal Kombat ever since the first video game. When Daniel left after MK2, Carlos would remain as an actor, motion capture artist and animator. His greatest job is doing research after many martial arts styles. With a team of animators Carlos performs the styles and they are integrated in the Mortal Kombat action moves. So most of the time, you can see Carlos moving. Carlos is such a great motion capture worker, they gave him the nickname: -One Take-. |
