Bio and martial arts background Terry is born the son of a police officer. As a young boy, admirer of super-heroes, Terry's interest for martial arts began. He started training in Judo. Soon he'd join the Liverpool Karate Club. His skills and good looks gave him jobs such as a security man which he'd do for 17 years. He has now a 6th Dan. Terry also participated in Kumites. However he lost his first matches, he'd soon grow to be a champion and win the Karate Union of Great Britain National Championships Individual Kumite Kata Title in 1972-75 and in '77 and '78. He was 3-times the KUGB Grand Champion and was a member of the Red Triangle Team, who were KUGB National Champions. He'd be known as a fearsome competitor, fighting in many contests and joining several teams. After that he'd gain more faim on TV as an actor and martial arts consultant. He's still a member of the KUGB and now works still as a referee. |
