Kurt is a great matial artist who made his debut in the hit No Retreat No Surrender with Van Damme. Kurt has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is a former Amateur Kickboxing Champion in Kentucky. He also enjoys other sports such as horsebackriding, tennis and swimming.
He did not want to be typecast so he refused the role in Karate Tiger 2, and did more dramatic roles.
Kurt's daughter Madison was born on March 10, 1998. Kurt has an older son, Cole Madsen.
Kurt collects knives and loves watching Seinfeld.
