Charlie Brown

 

One day, I'm gonna go over there

and say hey to that little

red-haired girl. I'll slide beside her

on the bench and ask how she is.

 

She'll smile at me with those full,

pouty lips as her cheeks turn crimson

to match the redness of my own.

 

She's doing well and wants to know

if I am too. The answer is obvious

as I'm pulled into her deep, blue

eyes filled with innocence and grace.

 

I'm gonna go over there and say hey

to that little red-haired girl.
