TV Series
In the early 80's

For fans who haven't known Leslie for too long, you may have known him from many movies - but the early Leslie when he first stepped into the show biz, he did a lot of TV-series for ATV (the first TV station he had contract with), and also with TVB later on.

For young fans like me, to see his old series, unfortunately I'll have to check the TV guide and see if some channel decided to stick some 1982 cheapo series into the 2:30-3:30pm gap or something (whenever nobody watches). Until now I've caught the 1982 "Sweet-sweet-chinese medicine" (hehe sounds cheesy), "Once opon an ordinary girl" (1984), "Wu Lin She Jia" (1985) and a bit of "The Zhu-Hai hero" (1981?).

And here I'll be collecting pics from the old TV series he participated in! Enjoy!



Once Opon An Ordinary Girl (Loong boon dor ching) 1984

This was the first TV series Leslie did when he switched to TVB.

Leslie was the young son in a very wealthy family during the war when Japanese attacked the Chinese. The 10 episodes tell the story of this wild, playful (and naughty) guy falling in love with an ordinary girl. It ended sadly with the Japs throwing bombs all over the place while Leslie and the girl getting prepared to die together.

Wu Lin She Jia (Family of the Jiang Hu?) 1985

This was the last TV series Leslie ever did! Along with him there was Maggie Cheung and Tse Yin (Nicholas Tse's dad)


Leslie in this series is the youngest of four brothers in the Fang family. His three brothers are all wicked.. It ends sadly (with Leslie dead again) showing all the greediness and selfishness in human nature, and how they can destroy eachother. (so they ended up all dead)


Didn't Maggie and Leslie make a cute couple?
