Leslie Cheung chose Hong Kong to be the place of the Grand Finale (April 11-16, 2001) of his Passion Tour concert which lasted for longer than half a year. Every night he'd tell the audience, don't know if there'd be another chance to stand on stage to see fans again. He chose Hong Kong to be the special ending place is because Ms. Chan suggested that since he's a Hong Kong singer, his concert should end in Hong Kong. In Leslie's mind, this Passion Tour is the peak of his on-stage performance, in the following few years, his body may not be in such good shape - it'd be impossible for him to dance and sing wild on stage being 50 years old anyway, that's why, in his heart he performed every show in the Passion Tour as performance to say "Goodbye to the Stage", especially the coming last six shows in Hong Kong.
When the interviewer asked Leslie if he is not going to hold a concert in a short time, Leslie immediately said, "Not in a short time, it is that in a LONG time I won't be holding a concert - and definitely there won't be additional shows. These six shows mean a lot to me, I'll value every musical note, every word that I say, hoping that the audience will find the ticket fee worthy and feel that it is true performance."
When asked if he'd perform again the action of 'putting away the microphone' at the very last show, Leslie said, "I don't wish to do that again, let it follow fate! I don't want to make anyone disappointed again!"
