News Update 2002!!

2002 January ->

Sep.14.2002 - Leslie's birthday party
Sept 12 was Leslie's 46th birthday, and unlike in the past years when he held his parties at hotels and restaurants - this year he held the party at his own house. According to the reports, Leslie and Mr.Tong drove their 'beetle' home, then the guests started arriving. Including Edison Chan's dad, Chan Kit-Ling, Sze Lam-Sang, Chan Chi-Keung..etc. But most of the guests were non-show-biz friends. Karen Mok also came but she came late at 11pm. Leslie's assistant Kenneth (whom have had rumours spreaded about earlier) also appeared and was in charge of greeting the guests at the door. According to the MingPao reporters, many of the guests were "fashionable handsome young men, holding red wine or flowers for gor gor" And at around 11pm, Leslie knew there were lots of reporters waiting outside his home, so he sent a box of chocolate out to the reporters. And when Mr. Chan Chi-Keung left, Leslie himself came out to send him away; then reporters grabbed the chance and asked him what his birthday wish was, in his super good mood, he smiled and said that world peace is most important, good for everybody. The party ended at around 1am and people started leaving; everyone looked happy. It was also said that Leslie's voice is no longer raspy as before, seemlingly he has recovered from his stomach problem earlier. He was very polite and friendly to the reporters, having a very good mood.

Apr.22.2002 -HK film award
Last night was the annual HK film award ceremony, and Leslie, as usual attended as a guest. However he was one hour late for the show (Oriental Daily named him "the king of lateness"); at around 9pm or so he arrived in his Benz at the back entrance. ("Being late + entering at the back gate = an attempt to avoid catching the attention which should've belonged to the award nominees", said The-Sun. Hmm how considerate!) But then there was still 20 or so fans waiting for him at the spot, who shouted and screamed when they saw Leslie. :)

Apr.17.2002 - Leslie directs film "stealing heart".
According to MingPao: Since directing the RTHK film "ashes to ashes" earlier, Leslie already indicated that the award that he'd want to get most in the future is "Best Director". And according to the press in mainland China, Leslie has already confirmed with the Beijing Bao-Se film company to direct the movie "stealing heart"(?)(Tau xin). They will start shooting in May in Qing Dao, and they predict it'd take two months.

Earlier when interviewed by MingPao, Leslie already said that he had a story plot of a film in mind. And when he promoted it to the film companies, they all wish that he'd direct while take part in the acting as well; therefore, "Stealing Heart", this story about two men loving the same women, will have Leslie as the main character- an artistic pianist.

The other male character would be Hu Jun - the newly awarded Best Actor. He's going to be a successful businessman in the film. The main female character would be Ning Jing. The story would briefly be: She and Hu Jun gets married and aren't happy, and has a long tangling relationship with Leslie on the other hand that lasts 8 years. It's also said that Leslie would be the one to select the cast.

Hu Jun said that he only got to know Leslie after his own awarded film was shown in HK - Leslie greatly praised his good acting and wished they could work together; and Hu never thought that they'd have a chance so quickly. Leslie himself has a lot of hope in this film; he thinks that now it's a good time to expand films in mainland China as the retraints from the government now are more relaxed.

Apr.08.2002 - Dancing hot at Anita Mui's last concert!
Anita Mui's "super dreamy concert"(?) came to its 10th show - the last one and at the end, her very good friend Leslie came on stage and sang their recent duet "juet doi fong wa" together, which brought the concert to its climax of the night. According to various news reports, their dance during the song was really hot and daring. Quoting from MingPao: "they danced closely; Leslie turned around and half-kneeled in front of Anita , held her hand and moved towards her bottom; Anita also touched Leslie's upper legs; Leslie had his back facing Anita and and put his arm below her chest; the audience were all wowed and astonished." After that, Anita thanked Leslie on stage, and said that Leslie is the "only good friend in her life"; to which Leslie laughed and replied, "good friends - you have many!" Anita then corrected, "you are the only one friend who is like a family member." And then they sang together the old song "yuen fun" (fate). When Leslie returned backstage, the audience were all still screaming "encore", but Anita said, "no la, actually Leslie is feeling unwell tonight, you guys have come here for Anita's concert anyway!"

Apart from that, it was also reported that Leslie attended his good friend Anna S(?)'s 'show-biz-friends party' before attending Anita's last concert show. It was reported that Leslie arrived the party along with several friends including Mr.Tong; and when he did, the scene nearly got out of control as fans were crowding around Leslie, all trying to get close to him. Luckily, as Oriental Daily reported, Mr.Tong and friends saved him from the scene and so he could enter the party. Leslie only stayed there for around an hour and quickly left and attended Anita's concert.

April 04.2002 Leslie and Tong being found in the airport together by Appledaily reporters
- and there they claim that Leslie and Tong are okay again, after starting up that rumour about the relationship being "shaky" because of assistant Kenneth.

Mar.28.2002 - 'Inner Senses' public premiere caused chaotic scene,
Finally it was Inner Senses public premiere last night at 6 theatres simultaneously in "O Hoi Shing" (something Ocean Centre?). Leslie, Lam Ka-Yan and Chow Ka-Ling all appeared. Leslie entered in the Benz protected by 18 security guards wearing a white suit, smiling and in an extremely good mood. Perhaps also because of Leslie, more audience appeared than expected - there were a total of 1300 seats in all 6 theatres, but still some 400 people holding real tickets were unable to get in. Since it is common that for premieres they give out more tickets than there actually are (because many people don't come), so they were taken by surprise that this time all the ticket-holders appeared.

The 400 people who couldn't get in were furious, they shouted outside the theatres "have ticket but can't see movie!!" some were yelling and swearing, refusing to leave. With the security guards unable to control the crowd, the chaotic scene lasted for some 45 minutes, until the film company representative promised that they can exchange one premiere ticket for two of some other showtime's.

Leslie continues to employ assistant Kenneth
On the front page of the recent Next Magazine (www.nextmedia.com) claims that "Leslie has a 26-yr-old new love; relationship with Mr.Tong getting unsteady". The "26-yr-old" was Kenneth the assistant whom was spotted to be with Leslie at the airport earlier (see news reports below).
When Leslie appeared at the film premiere he was quickly asked by the reporters about this. Leslie was originally all in a good mood, but when the reporters mentioned the rumours, his smile was immediately gone. Even though Leslie was unhappy, he still politely responded, "oh, nevermind, nevermind, whatever you like to write, you write. (Ming Pao:"to the rumours these days you don't care anymore?") No need to care. (Ming Pao:"Are yo not angry?") Why have to be angry, it's not the first time already. I haven't even read the report, don't need to care bout what it says; it is wrong that they say Kenneth is 26 - I know how old he is."

When the reporter continued to ask about Kenneth's information, Leslie answered all of them, he explained, "Yes I employed him, he originally worked at Esprit, we knew eachother when I once went picking up clothes at Esprit. My assistant had just left, so I've employed him for several months now already. Actually you guys don't have to write like this - I've got lots of assistants." The reporter joked that why wouldn't Leslie just employ a female assistant, he responded, "no I won't, I won't need to do that."

And then Leslie called "Kenneth! Bring your ID card over here!" Kenneth obediently walked over and showed his ID card, Leslie read loudly, "it's year 1980". (meaning Kenneth is 22, not 26 as the magazine wrongly reported.) Then Leslie said, "I know these few days there've been reporters following me and Mr. Tong, taking photos of us eating. Why do I care about them following me; I live a normal life, why should I be scared? I don't see it as a matter at all." [Picture below from MingPao: the assistant Kenneth]

Kenneth himself said that many friends phoned him after the magazine got out, and that he wish the media would report things in a more positive way. He also said that Leslie is very nice to him, and that he won't quit the job just because of these negative reports.

Mar.27.2002 - The movie poster too scary?
According to Oriental Daily, the film company is receiving a number of complaints about the three huge Inner Senese movie posters hung in Causeway Bay, Mong Kok and outside the Hung Hum tunnel; since the expressions of Leslie and Lam Ka-Yan on the poster were thought to be "too frightening", causing discomfort for people walking pass, living or working accross the street. If the complaints get to a higher level, it is very likely that the posters would be banned - in that case, the film company would lose over a million dollars HK. When Leslie heard about this news, he laughed and said "then you'll have to congradulate Wong Hoi-Fung, successfully bringing out the frightening effect! My effort on making the poster wasn't wasted!"

Mar.24.2002 - 400 Japanese fans arrive HK
Oriental Daily: 400 Japanese fans arrive HK for Leslie's new film "Inner Senses". The film company specially added Japanese subtitles for this show. With the 400 fans appearing together at the same time, the theatre was very crowded. Even those Leslie didn't appear, the fans weren't disappointed, but praised that the film was very good.

Mar.25.2002 - Gathering with 400 Japanese fans
Last night Leslie appeared at the specially held gathering at the Kowloon Bay Trade Exibition Centre(?). It costed the fans $2000HK each only for this gathering. The fees of them forming a 4-days-3-nights tour costed them $130000 each. Plus all their spendings in HK, added to around 3 million HK dollars for the travel industry in HK. Fans all took the gathering very seriously, they were all dressed up, some wore traditional Japanese dresses and some wore formal prom dresses. When Leslie appeared in a red leather jacket they were all very crazy. Apart from one single male (who must've felt left out!) and a little girl, all the other fans were "women"(wow). Leslie even took pictures with everyone of them.
[Picture below taken from SingTao]

Teachers girl how to deal with family
The guests were also allowed to ask Leslie questions (one question per table); one of which was an old lady of 80 years old, who commented that Leslie's smile brings warm to her heart. Another was a little girl who said that her family didn't know she come to HK, and that she just sneaked away since she's afraid they won't let them come - and asked Leslie what he'd have done. Leslie said when he was small his family didn't really control him; and that being away for 4 days, the only explanation would be "gone to camp".

Three valuable gifts given out in lucky draw
During the gathering there was also a lucky draw, which Leslie gave out three gifts he personally selected - one was a stone lion decoration which he bought in Argentina when shooting "Happy Together", and one was a huge concert oil painting of himself, and one was a used silk scarf. Leslie said, "when I used this scarf I didn't put on perfume - I think it's still got my original 'smell'!" and he put it on for the lucky fan right away.

Being fair to all fans
Outside the gathering stood a whole bunch of local HK fans who wished to meet with Leslie too, but ended up unable to do so. Leslie explained that it isn't that he sees that Japanese fans as more important, "they spent so much money to come to HK - you think I should charge the local fans the same price? So I could only be fair to them." When asked if he'd form a fan club again, he said "it's enough that I have a group of loyal fans - I'm no longer some young idol, won't set up a fan club again."

For chairty
There were also Inner Senses Photo book for sale that night for $98 HK each, the ones that Leslie had signed on for $200. 1200 of those photo books were sold. All the money made this night was given to the HK children cancer foundation under Leslie's name. Each fan at the gathering also made a paper swan for Leslie.

Mar 22.2002-Leslie nearly causing a chaos in theatre,
according to OrientalDaily. Two nights ago was the night of the secret mid-night-showing of the new Easter film, Inner Sense, and guess what: Leslie and Teresa Mo appeared in the theatre, totally unexpectedly, to watch his own new film too. The audience and fans got all excited and the scene nearly got out of control - apart from paying attention to the film, they kept on keeping track on Leslie's position in the theatre, and as soon as the film ended they all rushed towards Leslie for photos and autographs, pretty chaotic. At the end of the movie the audience also gave a round of applause - which is not bad of a response. Leslie, who sat through the who film, also like the film critics and audience that night, was seeing the film only for the first time. They all felt that it was quite good, especially the sound effects. Even Teresa Mo praised the sound effects, "Me too want to know who did the sounds!", said she. And about Leslie's acting, "Gor gor, ofcourse good la!", she said. The audience also complimented, saying Leslie's horror-movie acting is very good, even though it was his first time; and that the new girl Kerina Lam's acting was also a surprise. Mr. Wong (boss of film company) was very satisfied with both Leslie and Lam's acting, plus the audience response, made him more confident in the film.

[picture above from AppleDaily]
"Leslie goes to pee first before watching horror movie",
somehow AppleDaily chose to report it with such a headline. -_-: According to Appledaily, Leslie met Teresa Mo at the UA Admiralty cinema, and they were very friendly with eachother, Leslie also put his arm around Teresa's shoulder often. When asked if he came to support his own performance, he smiled, "Boss Wong told me to. Had to come!" But then suddenly, Leslie went "Please, let me go to washroom first!" And after he came out, he found Teresa again and they entered to watch the film together. They watched til the end of the movie and left with the crowd of fans around them. About the film, Leslie said "not bad, audience's response were okay."

Mar 21.2002-Leslie talks about '3rd-person-rumour'; rejects offer of film '..sword';
(thanks Ting for this news!!) According to The-Sun. When mentioned about the mysterious 'male friend' whom Leslie was spotted to be with at the airport - so it was the assistant that the film company assigned to assist Leslie for overseas promotion. Leslie didn't know whether to find it funny of frustrating:"that day we came back from overseas promotion, and you take those few photos and make up that I had a new boyfriend - that was my assistant Kenneth! How much could I have explained? So I didn't say anything." Leslie also mentioned about Kerina Lam, whom he complimented to be good in languages - she only came to HK for one year but she can already speak good cantonese, unlike many Taiwanese actors who still can't do live recording.
[Picture below from the-sun.com](Apparently it's got the best picture this time!!)

Rejects offer of "3rd brother's sword"?
Earlier it was reported that the film company would like Leslie to participate in the coming movie "the 3rd brother's sword"(?); but Leslie yesterday softly rejected the offer in front of boss Wong. He said, "I'm not young anymore; even though I've always kept exercising, but I'm afraid I'd be physically incapable. Besides, my time in September is already given to Hui On-Wah(director), so I don't think I can take this film." Boss Wong, whom stood beside Leslie could only smile weakly, he said he'll have to work on persuading Leslie and change his decision.

Mar 21.2002-"Leslie turns rock into gold; whoever works with him, whoever becomes a big hit"
Says OrientalDaily in the first part of the article to do with Leslie. Leslie was interviewed about the new film Inner Senses, he was asked if he had confidence that the film would be the most popular, since in Easter there will also be two other promising films coming on. Leslie responded that it is hard to guess which of the films is the most promising, but he said daringly "for the HK market I can't guarantee - but for the Asian market outside, I'm confident that I'll be the big winner!"
Inner Senses promotion
When asked about the enthusiastic promotion for Inner Senses, which apparently has the most effort put in compared to all films in the past - Leslie said, "honestly said, the film market now is really unstable, I put in so much effort this time simply wanting more audience to notice this film, hope to bring more people into the theatre, live up the market again."
Bringing up the new ones
Not only is much effort put into film promotion, but also in teaching the "new kids". Kerina Lam, the new girl in Inner Senses is the one this time. Leslie said that the reason he decided to do this film, is partly because he has never done a horror movie, and partly because it is exciting to work with new actors like Lam. Leslie said happily, "I think I'm really a luck-bringer, everytime a new kid works with me, he/she will become a big hit, and the whole group of new ones always pay me respect and listen to my advice. Starting from Anita Yuen, there was Shu-Qi, Karen Mok, Takako Tokiwa, and now Kerina Lam.. Who listens the less? Nah.. those ones (who don't listen to others) will naturally disappear. One phrase really fits this industry: "the nature of one's heart is seen as time goes by".
Kerina Lam
About the first-time-partner Kerina Lam Ka-Yan, Leslie kept on complimenting: "she is really smart, with much talent in languages. The only thing bad is that when she's nervous, the lines she says get 'clogged up'. There was one scene when I asked the director not to turn on the camera and had the place cleared, and inside the room I kept on leading her to practice the lines, after teaching her for an hour or so, she did the scene in one take. A smart girl."
The future ones
With so many new ones coming up in the show-biz, Leslie already has a prediction in his heart. For sure to be the 'taking-over' ones in the show-biz, there is only three: Cecilia Cheung, Nicolas Tse and Kerina Lam. Leslie says affectionately, "I always like Cecilia Cheung and Nicolas Tse. And now there is one more Kerina Lam. The HK audience like seeing pretty boys pretty girls who can act, they have good looks and also have talents - I say they'll be the ones."

[picture above: both taken from Oriental Daily.]
Japanese money-cheaters,
says the next part of the article in OrientalDaily, to be selling so-called packages to Japanese fans for $13,000HK each, claiming that after buying the package they can join the premiere in HK on the 23rd, and also join the gathering afterwards and will even be allowed to request two songs of their choice for Leslie to sing. After Leslie heard about these illegal money-cheaters, he quickly emailed his friends in Japan and clarified to all fans. He said very sadly, "the fans got cheated, really very sad, 10 thousand something 20 thousand dollars just to see Cheung Kwok Wing's premiere?? Really pathetic, really shocked. After I retired in 1989, the international fan club also ended, but they really have the heart for me, everytime there is any event with me, they join. I'm really thankful."
Leslie also mentioned about appearing with a male the other day at the airport (see Mar.12.2002 below), that guy was his assistant. How those people quickly made it into a rumour that the guy was a "3rd person" is just to be taken as a joke.

Mar 20.2002- "Leslie celebrates Wu Jun's birthday along with Mr.Tong",
says on SingPao and Appledaily. So it was Wu Jun - the newly announced best actor for the Golden Bauhinia film award - his 34th birthday two nights ago. He held a dinner celebration inviting many of his friends in the show biz - Leslie and Mr.Tong appeared together and other guests included Teresa Mo too. This isn't the first time of Wu Jun meeting Leslie - last time he came to HK for the promotion of film "nan yu"(which he got awarded for best actor in), director Kwan had already introduced him to Leslie. Wu said, "Leslie is a pretty good friend." What birthday gift did he give you, asked the reporter. "a LV handbag - it's very suitable."
[Picture below from Appledaily: Leslie attending the party]

Mar 20.2002- "The third brother's sword".
Film company Sing-ho(?)[same company with Inner Senses] has always talked about starting the new film "the third brother's sword"(?), but nothing has been fixed or announced since the cast wasn't fixed for sure yet. But now finally the cast is announced: Leslie, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Sung Sing-hin(?) and Kerina Lam Ka-Yan. But now they're still missing one actress - they're currently finding one from HK and South Korea. And if they're not able to start shooting in May, it'd have to be postponed all the way to September, since it is an old-fashioned-Chinese style movie (i.e. kung-fu..etc) and would be filmed in mainland China; if they shoot in the hot summer they're afraid the actors would fall ill. Mr.Wong the boss also said, film companies Columbia and Miramax both want to work with them on this movie, and Miramax has already invested $6 million US. But because it's a kung-fu movie, there'll be lots of special-effects involved, no less than in "Crouching tiger, hidden dragon"! So $6m wouldn't be enough - they're still trying to get $2m more.

[Editor's note: the story "3rd brother's sword" was originally written by a popular Chinese writer Gu-Long, it is one of his kung-fu fiction series.]

Mar 17.2002- Oriental Daily reports: "Leslie fans fall in trap, $1800 buy fake ticket". Yesterday the film company received a lot of phone calls from fans who claimed that they've purchased these so-called "charity premiere tickets" with some thousands of dollars. When they were told that there is no such thing as a "charity premiere" they were very worried. The film company here clarifies once again that there is no "charity premiere" and that none of the tickets would be sold in public. Apparently, those tickets are just normal tickets of the film printed by the film company, but only that a sticket saying 'charity premiere ticket' has been stuck onto it to confuse people. When Leslie was contacted about this he said, "wow! even fake tickets are so expensive? I thought only fake money is popular, so even fake tickets are popular! Tell fans to be careful, not to get tricked." Leslie also thought of a way immediately to repay all these cheated fans, "those were good-hearted people who hoped to do some charity; later the film company would schedule me to meet with fans in Japan, I could also welcome these HK fans too and give them a signed Inner Senses picture book to compensate them."

Mar 15.2002- "Gorgor tells fans not to get tricked", says OrientalDaily, AppleDaily and MingPao. According to the articles, since the premiere of "Inner Senses" would be on this month's 23rd, there are now people out there trying to trick the fans' money by spreading the rumour that on the 24th it'd be a charity premiere, and that the tickets have already been bid up to more than $2000 HK. The rumour caused many fans to phone the film company, which very quickly clarified that it's only a fake rumour. It's also thought that probably the wrong rumour was spread because there will be some 400 of Japanese fans forming a tour to come watch the premiere and are going to have a party gathering afterwards. It's also said that it costs each fan ¥30,000 to join the programme (premiere + party). And about there originally being 600 fans who applied for the tour, but that 200 don't get to come since the plane only has 400 seats, Leslie says, "this film would probably be nominated for the Tokyo Film Festival; the fans who don't get to come, we'll meet in Japan la!".

Below: picture of the horror movie 'Inner Senses'.

Mar 12.2002- According to MingPao news, Leslie was found at the HK airport yesterday with a male friend at around 12:20pm. He stepped out of the airport with this friend together, and when the reporters approached him taking pictures Leslie seemed a bit impatient - quickly dodged away from the camera wanting to avoid being photographed. But he carried a big smile on his face. When asked by the reporters, "where are you coming back from?", he replied with an annoyed face, "came back from China ah!" and quickly left the place.

Mar 01.2002- "Leslie Cheung's Japanese fans book a plane to come see Inner Senses in Hong Kong", says Oriental Daily. According to the article, Leslie voluntarily sponsored the promotional fees for the coming film 'Inner Senses', and even invited Japanese fan to form a tour to HK, and have a fans meeting on March 23rd at the Kowloon exhibition centre(?), and to preview the new film together. And the profit made from this tour will be used for the film's promotional and advertising fees, also will contribute to charity. It's estimated that this Japanese tour will cost around $5 million HKD.

The boss of 'Inner Senses's film company Wong Hoi-Fung is very impressed with Leslie's enthusiastic support, and said that life will be much easier in the show-biz if there were more artists like gorgor. Wong also revealed that Japanese fans are very enthusiastic about this tour, there were nearly 600 applications, which exceeds the amount a rent-plane can take; so they finally cut the number down to 400 people. They not only can meet with Leslie, but can also enjoy the film with Japanese subtitles especially made for them.

Since Leslie is so helpful with this film, boss Wong would be helpful to Leslie in return. Originally Leslie has to start working on another film "The sword of the 3rd brother"(?) in May, but because Leslie has to work on his self-directed film at that time, so the shooting of "the sword" is postponed, with the agreement of Wong. Wong complimented on Leslie, "gorgor's enthusiasm for films is really so great that I can't describe, he's still worried that there isn't enough promotion, and asked me if we'll need to invite Korean fans to form tour too! And earlier, the night before he goes to Thailand for a vacation, he still worked on the sound recording until 2, 3am without complaints - really is great."

Feb 25.2002- (Thanks Lucy & Susanna for this news!) News on Sing Pao and the Sun said, yesterday was the day before the Chinese Valentine (the 15th day of the Lunar New Year) and Leslie went out with two of his most important friends for high tea at the Mandarin Hotel coffee shop. They are Mr.Tong and Tereasa Mo. (of course the writer went on to talk about his romance with Tereasa and Tong in those old days and nowadays) Willy Chan and one other friend joined them and they spent more than an hour there.

Also, when Leslie left, he didn't want to be caught by the reporters. So, Tong called up their driver to have the car waiting right outside the hotel entrance, Tong went to the car first, then Leslie walked at a very fast pace from the 1st floor of the hotel where the coffee shop was. The Sun took a small picture of Leslie and Tong (can't be found on the net). He was holding a big carton (looks like it was a audio or video device) and a bag. He looked good.

Feb 1.2002- "Leslie has a chance in Cannes", says on the news. The film "Inner Senses" (yee-doe-hung-gaan), a supernatural film, has applied for the coming film exhibition in Cannes; also, it has been selected to be the "film of special recommendation" for the newly set up section called Midnight, in the 26th international film exhibition. Leslie, the main character in "Inner Senses" says; "I'm ofcourse happy that the film I participated in has a chance in competing in the film exhibition....but if this kind of supernatural movies gets an award, it is obviously a new and excellent challenge for me."

* About the film "Inner Senses": Directed by Law Chee-Leung; starring Leslie, Kerina Lam Kar-Yan (new girl) and Chow Kar-Ling. It is about Leslie being a mental-illness doctor ("neurologist"?), and Kerina Lam being his patient; and they're to be a couple. Leslie said it's fun to work with new actors. The film will be out in early April.
Below (from the left) picture in the film, picture of Leslie with Lam.

Jan 13.2002- During the annual TVB music award ceremony, Leslie and Alan Tam led the group of UMG singers and sang the group song "tung bo gwoh dong" together on stage. After the song, Alan Tam said it is dedicated to Cecilia Cheung; that even though she is in the hospital, she is with them.

Jan 09.2002- Anthony Wong Yiu-Ming reveals during a radio interview that Leslie and him are currently working together for a joint CD release that would be hopefully out soon. He said Leslie and him have known eachother very many years and they appreciate eachother's work, but they never really did anything together. This first time is happening because UMG encouraged them to "hook up". In the release, Leslie will sing Anthony's songs and Anthony will sing Leslie's songs, and there'll also be newly written one that they'll sing together.

Jan 08.2002- Cecilia Cheung has been staying in the hospital since two days ago when she got injured when she was doing a car trick for hospital fund-raising; many people have gone to visit her. Yesterday night around 11pm Leslie arrived with Mrs. Heung. Leslie said he had talked to Cecilia, and that she was in good shape.

Jan 05.2002- Perhaps due to Feng-Sui; Leslie decided to move back to his old spacious apartment. He then held a party after the renovation, inviting many good friends such as Anita Mui, Shum Din-Ha, some directors and many non-show-biz friends. The party began at 8pm and ended after 2 hours while Leslie and director Wong Hoi-Fung escorted the drunk Anita to her car. And since Leslie's place had strict security, reporters couldn't wait long for them, but apparently they all had fun.
