WORK BIO
I grew up in the small town of
Carrolltown, Pennsylvania, two hours east of Pittsburgh.
I moved on to attend college at California University of Pennsylvania.
While completing my Communications degree,
I spent three years as an on-air personality for WCAL as well as becoming the station’s Program Director during my senior year.
I also served in a variety of roles while covering the California athletic teams
for CUTV, including coverage of the Division II National Champion Women’s Basketball team in 2004.
After completing my degree, I served as a Communications intern with the
Central Collegiate Hockey Association
during the 2005-06 hockey season. My duties with the conference included daily website updates, creating official league press releases
and writing the weekly NCAA notes for Canadian players in college hockey, which was released to the Canadian media and printed in
The Toronto Globe and Mail. I also was the primary media relations contact
for the 2006 CCHA Championships held at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
My additional sports experience includes an internship with the Wheeling Nailers, working as a statistician for college
hockey broadcasts on Fox Sports Net Detroit and serving as a spotter for NBC Sports during the 2005 Senior PGA Championship.
