God is unique in nature. No person, object, or idea can be compared to God. The reality of God is always much greater than our minds can understand or express. God is the only God. He is the only true God. God is Holy. The Holiness of God is the unique quality of God's existence that marks Him off as separate from all else. God is eternal. He has no beginning and no ending. He fulfilled God's promises and purposes for His people. Jesus is Lord. Jesus practiced what He preached. Jesus provided Salvation. Christ is the way to God. His way of being in the world was a way of obedience, faithfulness, and service. Jesus continues to minister for us. Jesus is the eternal King. We are to be ready for Him to come to us. The same Jesus who ascended will return. His return will bring an end to the struggle of good and evil, the battles among kingdoms of this world that must become the kingdom of our God and of His Christ. We must join the chours praising the humble Son of Man, who is also the final Judge and King. We must prepare to join in the chorus of hallelujahs that will mark His triumphant return. The Holy Spirit is revealed as the third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit works for God's purposes. The Holy Spirit empowers God's people. The Holy Spirit leads individuals. The Spirit is God. The Spirit is divine. The biblical language for the Spirit is revealing. Biblical symbols for the Spirit include the dove, wind, fire, and water. The prophecies of the Old Testament and the promises of Jesus concerning the Spirit were fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost. At the time God poured out His Spirit on all the disciples. The Spirit formed the disciples into the church and by giving them prophetic gifts, enabled them to begin their world mission task of preaching the gospel.
