Special Things

My Prayer

"I pray for words that will flow always gentle through my mind.
Words that will touch others hearts, and always bring them closer to find
a brighter day dawning with each rising sun.
Words that will make them feel loved after the day has run.
I pray for words that will make a difference in our world today.
Words that will make us think before we choose the words to say.
And when all good words have been said and done, I pray the words I hear are,
"Enter in my faithful one!"

My youngest daughter made this for me.
It is VERY SPECIAL to me.

The greatest gift is love, whether young or older.

After the nine months of waiting for a child,
suddenly there's something precious, that's sweet and mild.
You have waited so long for that wonderful day,
now God has blessed you in a very special way.
Children are our way of seeing the reality of life,
all the happiness, love, peace, and some strife.
We know they will take some of our freedom away,
but when they grow up, we're wanting them to stay.
We can see ourselves in most of the things they do or try,
but when they are disappointed it makes us cry.
One day they will have families of their own,
they they will remember what we have shown.
Our children learn from what we say or do.
We need to show them the meanings of being true.
If our children learn from us and end up like you and me,
what kind of people do you think they will be?
Will they be the kind of people that everyone loves to be around?
Or will they be the ones when others see, will only frown?
Go back to the place in time, when you were waiting for the month of nine.
What kind of plans did you have or discuss?
Were you going to be the parents that your children could trust?
Look back and truly see, was that the kind of parents you wanted to be?

PLEASE HELP STOP ABORTION
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to nations.
(Jeremiah 1: 5, NIV)

The Reason

Wipe away the tears from your eyes,
you who have eyes that have grown dim.
Put away your sorrow and put all your trust in only Him.
For He knows all your sorrows and the grief that you bear.
He stands with outstretched arms and ready to meet you there.
Those who lived long ago, He was proud indeed of them.
Each one kneeled in faith to touch His garment's hem.
They were the ones who humbled themselves to thank the Lord.
Each one tried to live the best they could in one accord.
Nothing was ever easy for them, because they were treated like slaves.
Some lived in worn out tents, others lived in caves.
For many years they prayed for the Messiah, because of their despair.
But the task masters and tax collectors gave them little care.
Life was hard, with long hours of work and beatings.
To some of them their lives had no meaning.
But the ones who kept their faith alive, knew without a doubt
that the Messiah would soon arrive.
The Lord God Almighty had chosen the day,
that Mary and Joseph would have to find a place to stay.
Because Mary had ridden all that she was able,
the King of Kings was to be born in a lowly stable.
This baby was sent here for all to see and know.
He knew from the start what He should do and where to go.
He came to this earth to save us from the fires of Hell,
to heal the sick and blind as well.
As He grew He did His Father's will,
He traveled with twelve and was never still.
He went all about and taught the true way of life.
To take the good things, the same as those with strife.
So always put your trust and faith in the Lord God above.
Then one day you can live in Heaven where there's only love!
