Intercessory Prayer....


Jesus often sought solitary places to spend extended time with the Father.
His entire life and ministry were bathed in prayer.
Jesus put prayer first in the mornings (Mark 1:35).
He felt that fellowship with the Father came first
before fellowship with people.
Jesus interceded for others in prayer (Luke 6:12 & John 17).

An extended time in prayer for other people allows you to perform your priestly role of intercession.
If you love people who are in need, you will spend time praying for them.
Intercessory prayer is work, but its blessings are more than you can imagine.
Only Heaven will reveal the total reward.

Pray for people ONLY Jesus could love.

Two children my daughter is trying to adopt. It has been over three years on the brother and just started a few months ago on his sister. These are children who were abandoned by parents who drink and seem to not care about these kids or the other ones who someone else has. Every time they visit their parents they come back sick, because these people smoke really bad and these children have breathing problems. We have told the workers to make sure they don't smoke around the kids, but their clothes still smell like smoke and they do smoke before they come to visit. We seem to always have to give them several breathing treatments after they visit for several days. We are worried about them. We want to keep these children together and they would be loved, carried for, carried to church, have things they need, be in a happy home, etc. PLEASE PRAY WE CAN HURRY AND GET THESE CHILDREN! Pray the laws are changed soon for people who want to adopt children and give them a safe and happy home and are brought up in church. The court system is so messed up and seem to only care for the parents and not the welfare of these children. They have given them so many chances to get straight ( so many we can't count) and they always seem to fail and not care. We need laws and judges on the bench who care about the children and their welfare, not the parents who act like small children. Get laws changed! Doesn't anyone care for the children any more? Parents these days seem to only care for themselves and what they want to do, not the children. Pray for all the ones who are suffering and recent events that has shaken the world.

Please pray for safety of the troops who are fighting for the freedom and the good of others.
Pray for my nephew Zack. He leaves for the war to go on the front line Easter day. He is in the Marines. His Dad was killed when he was 5 years old while serving in the Air Force. His Mother will come a part if something happens to him too. She never got over losing his dad. He looks just like him. She is studying to be a traveling nurse now so she can go as close to where he is going to be when he comes home. He is a very good and sweet young man. He went and had a tatoo put on his back to honor his Dad. It is a cross and at the bottom it says in memory of his Dad.
Anyone fighting the war pray they find Jesus Christ if they don't know Him as their personal Savior.
Pray for our leaders and their decisions. Pray they won't let pride and money keep them from making the right decisions.
Pray they will put America back on the right track and bring jobs back to America and not send them over seas to make other countries rich and us go down the drain. Be a true American who wants to help this country stay as the first Americans intended. One Nation under God! To look after each other, not their own pocketbook full of money to show off and say look at me! Pray God will forgive this country for turning away from Him. Pray God will show us mercy. Pray God will help us to defeat satan and his adversaries. Lord Jesus I pray you will be our buckler daily. AMEN!!!

*Jim Pyle*, an Inmate that accepted Jesus Christ about 6 months ago. He was expecting the Governor to sign his release in October, but It wasn't God's Will. He has a very dear family at home, and his wife has some health problems.

*Cecilia Roleson*, You have heard it said that (all) inmate's claim that they are not guilty. Well, in this case, there is some proof that she is not guilty. The Guards even say that she is not guilty. She is waiting for her case to go before the Governor. But you know how long that can take. Cecilia is a very dear Christian lady, and a great prayer warrior. She teaches a Bible Study in prison.

*Johnny Mitchell*, He got saved 18 months ago, and started studying God's Word, and hasn't let up yet. He has become very knowledgeable in the bible. Pray for him as he goes from cell to cell and teaches the others. He has led several men to Christ, and he helps them to grow in Christ.

*Dee Brown*, is probably the greatest prayer warrior I have ever known, unless it would be my mother. (I have a feeling that you fit in there somewhere). Dee is an Inmate, but has been saved a few years back. She teaches Bible Study in prison.

People are needed that would be willing to write to inmates.
There are some that NEVER receive a letter, much less a visit.

Writing to them is a great ministry.
