The Friendly Church That Fills Your Spiritual Needs To teach the whole counsel of the word of God, the Bible. We do this by focusing our attention on teaching through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. Doing this the people of God will best be able to be grounded in the truth that sets them free. (John 8:31-32, Acts 2:42, 20:27, Ephesians 4:11-14) To worship God in Spirit and in Truth. We desire that in the songs we sing and in the way we live we exemplify true, heartfelt worship of the Most High God. (John 4:23, Psalm 29:2) Share good news of salvation found in Jesus Christ with all who will hear. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8) A Place for Friendship Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That's why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between members of our church family -- bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, the circle of care is growing more and more. We'd love for that circle to include you, too. A Place for Growth None of us have made it yet, and there is always room for improvement. This is true for us here, at Calvary Baptist Church. In our family, we are still growing in our friendship, learning, and service. God has put into place the people and facilities for exciting growth opportunities. We're excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. And you can be a part of the excitement as we grow together. There is someone, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is alive and loves you more than His own life. Remember we are only one away from eternity. The love that we need is God Himself coming into our hearts. When the soul is perfected in love, it has such sense of that love that it can rest in it for eternity, and though it can contain for the time being, it can always receive more love from God. "For God sent His Son not into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:17) "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Peter 2:24) "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36) Blessed are they which do hunger and thrist after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6) Him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. (John 6:37b) If you are ever in our area, please come by to visit. You are invited to join this fellowship of believers by profession of your faith in Jesus Christ (by baptism), by the transfer of your membership from another Baptist Church or by the statement of your Christian experience.
