The "Pro Basarabia and Bucovina" Medal (Grateful Motherland, 1941) was instituted by Royal Decree in 1943 and was conferred to men of Basarabia and Bucovina who had volunteered for service in the Romanian army. (Ref: Decoratii Romanesti de Razboi 1860-1947)

King Carol I Centennial Medal ( Medalia "Centenaurul Regelui Carol I" was instituted by Royal Decree No 1915 of 5 May 1939 and awarded to persons in the military or civilian life, or who had been conferred the order "Michael the Brave" or the medal "Military Virtue" and to the civil servants in the Ministry of the National Defence. The ribbon is 40mm wide and moire. Persons awarded this medal for their contribution to the army equipping fund also received a metalic bar on the ribbon, bearing the inscription "Pro Patria".(Ref: Decoratii Romanesti de Razboi (1860-1947)
The "Crusade against Communism" Medal - This medal was instituted by Royal Decree No. 1014 of April 1, 1942 and was awarded to military irrespective of rank and civilians who had distinguished themselves in the battles on the Eastern front. The medal could be awarded without bars, but the following bars were authorized: BUCOVINA, BASARABIA, DOBROGEA, NISTRU, ODESSA, BUG, NIPRU, AZOV, CREMEEA, DONET, MAREA NEAGARA.
