Order of Danilo I (5th Class) (Montenegro) This Order was instituted by Prince Danilo on 23 May 1853, originally in one class only, for deeds of bravery in the war of 1852-1853 against Turkey. It was re-organized and enlarged three times, finally, in 1893, having five classes. Pictured here is the 5th Class of the Order, which has a longer lower arm, is enamelled black with silver edges, and has no crown above. Click here to see the reverse of the badge. NOTE: I highly recommend both of these books, as they are well worth the cost).

Serbo-Montegrin medal for Miljanic Football Association of Serbia and Montenegro (FSSCG) president Miljan Miljanić has been given one of his nation's highest civil honours. Serbo-Montenegrin president Svetozar Marović has awarded 75-year-old Miljanić with the medal of the Order of Nemanja for his services to football in the former Yugoslavia. "It is a well-deserved honour for Miljanić, for domestic football, sport and our country," added Karadžić. "Miljanić oversaw a whole era - he has given so much to football here and worldwide. He deserves this medal because he is the best ambassador of our football." uefa.com 13 Dec 05 |
