The Mongolian "We have Conquered" Medal", also known or referred to as "The War against Japan Medal" or The "We the Victorious" Medal, was instituted in 1945 for both military and civilian participants in the fighting against "Japanese imperialistic aggression". Some 10,000 Mongolians and also some USSR military seem to have been awarded this medal. It's a brass medal, 40mm diameter, with the centre depicting the Mongolian "Soembo" (or Sumbo ?) device and the inscription "BID ULAV" in Cyrillic (= we have conquered). At the bottom is a small plaque with the year "1945". The reverse is plain but for the medal's number impressed in the base. The medal is suspended from a "kalodka" enamelled in red-blue-red with a screw stud at the back. Service dress ribbon is yellow with green edges.
