Cross "Coming to Fellowman's Help" - established by the decree No.429 of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania on December 11, 1998 and is awarded in three grades. Lithuania - I recently received a very nice e-mail from Vilius Kavaliauskas who is the author of "Orders and Decorations: Estonia - Latvia - Lithuania 1918-1940". The book was recently published in the Czech Republic and is written in English. It contains 160 pages, including 27 colour plates, and has all the latest facts on number of awards made. Price is 20 USD plus 3 USD for mailing and handling. If requested, Vilius will autograph the book. Medal of the Order of Gediminas - Pictured is the Bronze gilt 1st Class Medal of the Order of Gediminas, the Grand Duke of Lithuania. The medal can be awarded in three classes: Bronze gilt, bronze silvered and bronze. This is the version that has been awarded since 1991. Ref: Bronius Juozaitis

Lithuanian military volunteers to be presented with medals after performing mission in Kosovo Troops of platoon KFOR-11, who have been contributed to peace operation in Serbia in Montenegro, Kosovo province, will be awarded the National Defence System’s level medal “For International Operations”.
